Cholesterol-based hydrogen-bonded liquid crystals

Hydrogen bonding is a powerful tool for assembling molecules and building new liquid crystalline structures. In this study, non-symmetric dimesogens were prepared by intermolecular hydrogen bonding between rationally designed H-bond donor (3-cholesteryloxycarbonylpentanoic acid) and acceptor (4-(pyridine-4-ylmethyleneimino)phenyl 4-alkoxybenzoate) moieties. Their liquid crystalline properties were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry, polarized optical microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Cholesteric and smectic phases were observed. As for the covalently linked dimesogens, several types of smectic periodicities occur for these H-bonded cholesteryl compounds depending on the molecular parameters.     

Facile cyclic ammonium salt with the smallest size for high performance electric double layer capacitors

A novel cyclic ammonium salt, N,N-dimethylpyrrolidinium tetrafluoroborate (P₁₁-BF₄), was successfully synthesized for the first time. The smallest cyclic structure of P₁₁-BF₄ induced high solubility and conductivity in PC, which can easier enter the micropores of activated carbon and occupy more surface area during charge/discharge process.     

透射电镜薄样品倾转过程中的附加旋转及其计算

模拟透射电镜双倾台进行样品位向调整过程,推导出反映样品倾转前后其合成倾转轴(即共有菊池线对的法线)方向变化规律的计算公式,称为附加旋转角计算公式。指出,实现样品位向调整的双倾操作,等效于样品绕其合成倾转轴的倾转及该倾转轴绕Z轴(平行入射束方向)的旋转之和。利用双倾台对薄膜样品进行的系列倾转实验表明,由附加旋转角公式计算的附加旋转角和实测值相一致。还根据双倾操作过程导出了合成倾转角的计算公式,它可用于判断样品位向调整的准确度。     

非离子表面活性剂Brij35胶束体系中α-溴代萘的室温燐光

建立了非离子表面活性剂Ｂｒｉｊ３５胶束介质中α－溴代萘的燐光分析法，并与十二烷基 硫酸钠ＳＬＳ体系作了比较。方法特点如下：α－溴代萘在低浓度的Ｂｒｉｊ３５胶束溶液中即产生 ＲＴＰ发射，具有良好的分析特性。甲醇、乙醇等的加入，体系不会使燐光达到稳定的时间增长，测量操作简便。ＴｌＮＯ３的存在使背景降低，精密度提高。Ｂｒｉｊ３５体系比 ＳＬＳ体系具有较大 的粘度，较小的丙酮猝灭影响。     

脉冲激光光声量热装置的研制及用之对香豆素激光染料无辐射跃迁过程的研究

本文报道了一套适用于液相体系的高灵敏度脉冲激光光声量热装置的建立。用此仪器对香豆素激光染料C428, C47和C120的无辐射过程进行了研究, 测得它们在无水乙醇中的无辐射跃迁量子产额分别为0.50, 0.47和0.38。     

Synthesis and photoinduced memory effect of poly[2-N-carbazolylethyl acrylate-co-2-(3,5-dinitrobenzoyloxy) ethyl methacrylate]

Copolymers containing an intramolecular electron donor-acceptor (EDA) complex were synthesized by free radical copolymerization of 2-N-carbazolylethyl acrylate and 2-(3,5-dinitrobenzoyloxy)ethyl methacrylate. Glass transition temperatures show a positive deviation from the weight-average values of copolymers, indicating the presence of the specific EDA interaction in copolymers in the solid state. Photoinduced “memory effect,” which is defined as the percentage of the difference of the surface potential given by corona charging before and after irradiation of light on polymer films, was 30% for the copolymer with 5 mol% of acceptor content. Memory effect increased to 70% for a 8 μm film by doping with 2 wt% of trichloroacetic acid (TCAA), and leveled off at 5 wt% of TCAA content. Memory effect was also enhanced by increasing the thickness of polymer films and irradiation time. The largest value of memory effect (85%) was obtained from the film of the copolymer with 5 mol% acceptor content doped with 1 wt% TCAA and with thickness larger than 14 μm.     

The effect of lanthanide on the degradation of RB in nanocrystalline Ln/TiO2 aqueous solution

A series of Nd³⁺, Pr³⁺, Er³⁺, and Dy³⁺ (0.25–5 at.%) homogeneously doped nanocrystalline titanium dioxides (Ln/TiO₂) were prepared by an easy sol–gel technique, and the roles of lanthanide doping on the photocatalytic activity in the degradation of rhodamine B (RB) in aqueous solution were studied. Both the concentration of the lanthanide dopant and calcination temperature showed significant effect to the photodegradation of RB. The photocatalytic activity of pure titania was drastically decreased when calcination temperature was at 700 °C, while the high photocatalytic activity was still maintained for lanthanide-doped samples. HPLC-MS method was used to study the degradation process, and it is demonstrated that the degradation of RB catalyzed by Ln/TiO₂ was principally go through with a stepwise de-ethylation photochemical process.     

Comparison of(η~6-Fluoroarene)tricarbonylchromium Complexes with Their Chloro-analogs in Radical Aromatic Substitutions

Reactions of fluoroarene-Cr(CO)_3 complexes with SmI_2 andcarbonyl compounds in THF/HMPA at-40— -60℃ affordedthe corresponding radical aromatic substitution products in highyield. Compared to the corresponding chloroarene-Cr.(CO)_3complexes, fluoroarene-Cr(CO)_3 complexes showed a higher ef-ficiency and slightly lower regioselectivity.     

Studies on the phase properties of lyotropic liquid crystals of Brij35/sodium oleate/oleic acid/water system:By means of polarizing microscope,SAXS,~2H-NMR and rheological methods

The pseudo-quaternary phase diagram of Brij35/sodium oleate/oleic acid/water systems has been investigated, and the liquid crystal area has been identified, which covers about two thirds of the whole phase diagram. The liquid crystal structure and behavior have been also studied by using polarizing texture, small angle X-ray scattering, 2H-NMR and rheometer etc. The result shows that when the composition of the system changes along the line of AA′ in this large liquid crystal region, the structural change is cubic→cubic/lamellar→lamellar→lamellar/hexagonal→hexagonal. Meanwhile, we made the first attempt of systematic study of the rheological properties of the above system. The lattice constants of cubic and hexagonal liquid crystals are 10.53 and 5.68 nm, respectively.     

烟草及烟草制品总挥发酸的测定--连续流动法

采用连续流动方法测定烟草及其制品中的总挥发酸,详细研究了测定条件.结果表明最大吸收波长为350 nm,标准乙酸溶液在0.086～4.0 μg/mL的范围内服从比尔定律,摩尔吸光系数为1.174×104L·mol-1·cm-1,对烟草中挥发酸的检出限为0.012mg/g,相关系数为0.999 5,测定范围为0.12～5.0mg/g.方法具有很好的灵敏度和较高的精密度.
